Data Protection & Privacy Policy
1. INTRODUCTION
Since 2006 we have developed relationships with our customers based on trust, respect and integrity. We treat your personal information as absolutely private and confidential, handle all personal information with the utmost care, and will never share your email address, phone number or credit card information with any unrelated third party except when necessary to fulfill transactions that you initiate. If you have any questions or concerns about Data Protection or our Privacy Policy then please don't hesitate to contact us.
2. SSL ENCRYPTION
All cdmsales-services.ca web pages on which you enter personal details (for example credit card details or your address) are transferred with the latest 256-bit SSL encryption and stored on a secure server. You can recognize this by looking at the "https" prefix in the internet address in your web browser, or by clicking on the padlock symbol in the browser window. These elements both appear after you click on the "proceed to secure checkout" button in the shopping cart.
3. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
Whenever you have the option on our website to supply personal or business-related details (email addresses, names, addresses etc.), you provide these details purely and explicitly on a voluntary basis. We will of course treat all details provided as absolutely private and confidential, handle all details with the utmost care, and use only where necessary to process your order. For example, in the case of delivery of goods this will include forwarding your name and address to the designated logistics company (for example Canada Post). Only after your prior and explicit approval will these details be used for other purposes.
You are welcome at any time, at no charge, to receive information about the personal data we have stored about you and request we amend, block or delete any specific personal details.
4. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Whenever you access a page on our web site, details of the event may be stored in a log file. The recorded data can for example consist of the web page from which the request was sent; the date and time the request was made; the access status (file transferred, file not found etc.); a description of the type of internet browser being used; and the IP address used to connect your computer to the internet. This recorded data is only used for internal statistical purposes to improve our customer service and your online experience in our shop. This data is never given to third parties, neither for commercial nor for non-commercial reasons.
